Conference & Events Manager Job Description



We are seeking an experienced Conference and Events Manager to join our team at Holiday Inn London-Shepperton. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing events and conferences, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences.



Key Responsibilities




  • Lead the provision of an outstanding event management service, ensuring that every guest experiences a safe and memorable visit.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of events, including coordinating logistics, catering, and audio-visual requirements.
  • Coach and mentor the Conference and Banquets team, promoting a culture of excellence and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, understanding their needs and preferences to deliver bespoke event solutions.
  • Work closely with the Operations Manager to ensure seamless event execution, with a focus on cost management and revenue growth.
  • Monitor and analyze event data to identify trends and areas for improvement, making recommendations to enhance the overall event experience.
  • Manage stock and labour margins against the P&L, ensuring that events are delivered within budget.


Requirements




  • Proven experience in Conference and Events Management, with a strong track record of delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple deadlines to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Flexible and adaptable, with a willingness to work outside of normal hours to meet the needs of events.
  • Self-motivated and confident, with a passion for delivering exceptional results and exceeding client expectations.
