About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Fleet Maintenance Manager to join our team at Metroline. As a key member of our engineering function, you will be responsible for ensuring the exceptional maintenance of our vehicles to meet the high standards set by Metroline, TfGM, and DVSA.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of staff including Workshop Managers, skilled and semi-skilled technicians, coachmakers, electricians, cleaners/shunters, clerks, stores personnel, and contractors.
  • Ensure all maintenance work is documented accurately and in compliance with legal and company requirements.
  • Manage and control the engineering budget, ensuring that all operations are conducted within the financial parameters set by the company.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and contractors for the procurement, maintenance, and repair of plant and equipment.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on vehicle availability, maintenance performance, budget adherence, and H,S&E metrics.
Requirements
  • Excellent knowledge of mechanical engineering and vehicle maintenance procedures for all types of vehicles operated by the garage.
  • Bus bodywork repair/maintenance experience is essential.
