Job Purpose:

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Administrator to join our team at the University of Leeds. The successful candidate will have experience in undertaking evidence-based research and evaluating policy and urban design practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct a thorough literature review and policy analysis
  • Apply qualitative research methods for developing an evidence-based policy brief
  • Provide administrative support for workshop organisation
  • Editorial assistance with the policy document
  • Conduct discussions/debates, interviews, and focus groups
  • Work closely with the Leeds City Council team to evaluate processes employed
  • Produce a report with case studies and recommendations
  • Advise and guide the project lead on sufficient approaches in collaboration with partners

Requirements:

  • Experience in undertaking evidence-based research and evaluating policy and urban design practices
  • Good experience working with city councils and knowledge of local and national play space practices, policies, and guidelines
  • Ability to conduct qualitative research methods and develop an evidence-based policy brief
  • Excellent administrative and organisational skills
  • Ability to work closely with the Leeds City Council team and other stakeholders
