Job Summary

Taylor Woodrow is seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team on a prestigious infrastructure project. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial aspects of the project, ensuring that it is delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Management
    • Prepare and analyze project budgets, forecasts, and reports to ensure accurate financial planning and decision-making.
    • Manage and control project expenditures, identifying areas for cost savings and implementing measures to reduce costs.
  • Contract Management
    • Lead procurement processes, negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors to secure the best possible deals.
    • Manage contractual risks, providing advice to the project team on potential issues and developing strategies to mitigate them.
  • Project Coordination
    • Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and the project team to ensure that financial objectives are met and that the project is delivered to the required standards.
    • Prepare and negotiate valuations, final accounts, and variations to ensure that all parties are aware of their financial obligations.
  • Qualifications and Experience
    • Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
    • Extensive experience in a Senior Quantity Surveyor role, ideally within large civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
    • Strong knowledge of NEC contracts and commercial management best practices.
    • Proficiency in relevant software packages.
