About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Site Reliability Engineer to join our Wholesale Payments Production Management team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the stability and reliability of our production applications, which handle global sanctions, regulatory reporting, fraud screening, and client authentication.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement proactive monitoring and automation solutions to reduce incidents and alerts from our applications.
  • Identify and automate manual tasks using Automation as a Service (AaaS) or other appropriate tooling.
  • Collaborate with the team to identify Application Service-Level Indicators (SLIs) and Service-Level Objectives (SLOs) and ensure they are properly monitored.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality code, including Python/Linux scripting and unit tests.
  • Provide production support tasks, including troubleshooting incidents, communicating with upstream/downstream partners, and documenting procedures.
  • Contribute to the development of an internally developed application for tracking production-related issues.

Requirements

  • Basic familiarity with Linux OS and scripting languages.
  • Experience with version control systems, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile practices.
  • Strong understanding of complex process flows and ability to troubleshoot issues.
  • Experience with monitoring tools, such as Geneos, Splunk, and Grafana.
  • Knowledge of DevOps tools and cloud technologies, such as AWS.
