Babcock International Group is a leading provider of complex engineering services, and we're seeking a skilled Naval Architect to join our team. As a Naval Architect, you'll play a critical role in supporting the design and development of our naval shipbuilding programs.

Our team is responsible for delivering complex shipbuilding projects, and we're looking for a talented individual to help us drive innovation and excellence in our design and engineering processes. As a Naval Architect, you'll work closely with our design teams to develop and implement design solutions, ensuring that our vessels meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development of design solutions for naval shipbuilding projects
  • Collaborate with design teams to ensure that designs meet technical and regulatory requirements
  • Develop and implement design solutions to improve vessel performance and efficiency
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure that design solutions meet business objectives

Requirements:

  • Experience in the naval/marine industry
  • Awareness of using a variety of naval architecture packages and design packages
  • Either Degree qualified or HND/HNC level qualification in an Engineering discipline with design experience in the marine or defence industry
  • Member of a relevant institution (e.g., RINA, IET, IMechE, IMarEst etc.) and either hold Chartered engineer status or working towards Chartered engineering status

Security Clearance: The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
