Job PurposeWe are seeking a skilled Plant Operator to join our dedicated team at Carnsew Quarry, a quarrying business based in Cornwall. As a Plant Operator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our equipment and machinery.
Main Responsibilities- Operate heavy machinery in compliance with manufacturer's instructions and Quarry Regulations 1999.
- Perform daily checks on plant and machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Complete required paperwork and assist the maintenance team in maintaining equipment and machinery.
- Undertake sentry duties during blasting activities and attend inductions, toolbox talks, and briefings.
- Strong work ethic and good communication skills.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work as an effective part of the team.
- Experience in the quarrying industry or heavy machinery operation is desirable, but not essential.
