About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Lead Design Engineer to join our growing team in Manchester. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the design and delivery of complex residential construction projects, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and sustainability.

Your Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with project stakeholders, including architects, engineers, contractors, and clients, to develop comprehensive design solutions.
  • Lead the design process from concept to completion, ensuring adherence to relevant building codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Prepare detailed design drawings, specifications, and documentation for construction purposes.
  • Manage and coordinate the work of a team of design engineers and technicians.
  • Conduct site visits to assess project progress and identify potential design challenges.
  • Develop and implement innovative design solutions that optimize functionality, aesthetics, and cost-effectiveness.

Your Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a Design Engineer in the construction industry, with a focus on residential projects.
  • Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and design standards.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or other relevant design software.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
