Position: Auto Mail Lead Operator - Day Shift
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
Compensation: £32,983 per annum
We are seeking an Auto Mail Lead Operator to join our esteemed organization. This facility is dedicated to the production of both outbound and inbound document services, encompassing printing, mailing, and warehousing capabilities for effective mail handling and document management.
WORKING HOURS:
Week 1: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, with contracted hours from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, totaling 11 hours per shift.
Week 2: Monday and Tuesday, with the same hours and shift length.
ROLE OBJECTIVE
The Lead Operator plays a crucial role in overseeing daily operational tasks while supporting Senior Operator responsibilities. This includes ensuring compliance with Health and Safety standards, meeting Service Level Agreements (SLAs), managing peak workloads, and fostering a collaborative work environment. In the absence of Senior Operators, you will assume leadership for Health and Safety, SLA delivery, and planning activities, ensuring full supervision during weekend operations. Participation in continuous improvement initiatives is vital, as the Lead Operator will contribute to optimizing existing processes and developing new ones.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain adherence to established quality standards and processes in all tasks, promoting best practices.
- Exhibit effective coaching skills to guide the team.
- Oversee team performance and allocate staff as needed to meet SLAs.
- Ensure that Operators meet quality and throughput targets.
- Demonstrate commitment to continuous improvement efforts.
- Assist in identifying process inefficiencies through continuous improvement methodologies.
- Take ownership of personal development while supporting Operators in their growth.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
· Proven ability to work under tight deadlines.
· Competence in using PCs and Microsoft applications.
· DMAIC Certification is a plus.
· Essential experience in Auto Mail operations.
