Position: Auto Mail Lead Operator - Night Shift
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £32,983 per annum
We are seeking a dedicated Auto Mail Lead Operator to join our esteemed organization. This role is pivotal in overseeing the production of both outbound and inbound document services, ensuring efficient operations within our facility.
WORKING HOURS:
Nights: Week 1 – Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, with contracted hours from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, totaling 11 hours per shift.
Week 2 – Monday and Tuesday, with the same hours and shift duration.
ROLE OBJECTIVE
The Lead Operator is tasked with executing daily operational responsibilities while supporting Senior Operator functions. This includes ensuring compliance with Health and Safety regulations, meeting Service Level Agreements (SLAs), managing daily workloads, and fostering a collaborative work environment. In the absence of the Senior Operator, you will assume leadership for Health and Safety, SLA adherence, and planning activities, including full supervision during weekend shifts. Participation in continuous improvement initiatives is also a key aspect of this role, as the Lead Operator will contribute to optimizing existing processes and developing new methodologies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain adherence to established quality standards and processes across all tasks.
- Effectively coach and mentor team members.
- Oversee team productivity and allocate resources to meet SLAs.
- Ensure Operators meet quality and throughput targets.
- Champion continuous improvement efforts within the team.
- Assist in identifying process inefficiencies through improvement methodologies.
- Take ownership of personal development while supporting the growth of Operators.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
· Proven ability to work under tight deadlines.
· Competence in using PCs and Microsoft applications.
· DMAIC Certification is preferred.
· Essential experience in Auto Mail operations.
