About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team as Deputy Head of Service. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and manage a team of Occupational Therapists and contribute to the development of our Occupational Therapy service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational management of the Occupational Therapy service in collaboration with the Occupational Therapy Head of Service.
  • Leadership and management of a team of Occupational Therapists.
  • Development and implementation of service strategies and plans.
  • Collaboration with other departments and stakeholders to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Monitoring and evaluation of service performance and quality.
Requirements
  • Significant experience at Band 7 level within a physical clinical environment.
  • Highly-specialist experience within clinical field.
  • Experience of leading and managing a team.
  • Experience of using clinical governance framework to monitor and improve quality of patient care.
  • Experience of developing and maintaining effective partnerships with various stakeholders.
Person Specification
  • Ability to meet the travel requirements of the role.
  • Ability to sit at a work station to complete projects and other computer-based tasks.
  • Ability to engage in moving and handling activities with patients where there may be complex needs and the use of equipment.
