Continuous Improvement Manufacturing Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our Continuous Improvement team at MBDA. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in driving productivity and contributing to increasing production rates and cost reduction.
Key Responsibilities- Support and lead waste / defect reduction activities to increase productivity and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective implementation of corrective and preventative actions.
- Conduct root cause analysis for externally supplied detail products and implement process controls and process capability based on critical and significant features driven by the customer.
- Facilitate and run CI plans to enable the implementation of corrective and preventative actions.
- Reduce defective issues within the business using an 8D / A3 methodology.
- Implement process improvements and manage improvements into the business.
- Formal technical Engineering/Craft Apprenticeship to NVQ Level 3/TR23/TR21 and formal further education certificate to HNC or equivalent in a relevant subject.
- BEng in relevant Engineering or Science Degree.
- Working in or supporting operations in a fast-paced production environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to influence teams outside of your direct reporting structure.
- Experience in the use and understanding of Lean manufacturing and Six sigma methodologies.
- Experience in the use and understanding of CI and Quality tools.
- Leading practical problem-solving exercises with multi-functional teams.
- The ability to produce, maintain, and interpret data using a structured approach.
- Manage projects and or improvement from 'cradle to grave'.
- Experience in the use and understanding of Lean manufacturing systems tools and techniques and minitab software.
