About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Continuous Improvement Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at Guidant Global. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving process improvements and implementing lean manufacturing principles to enhance productivity and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement process improvements to optimize manufacturing operations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address process inefficiencies
- Lead and facilitate Continuous Improvement (CI) reviews to ensure robust and sustainable processes
- Implement corrective and preventive actions to reduce defects and improve quality
- Work with stakeholders to identify and prioritize improvement opportunities
- Develop and maintain process controls and enhance process capability
- Facilitate Problem Prevention System (PPS) for root cause analysis within manufacturing and logistics facilities
- Provide technical expertise on lean tools and change management
Requirements:
- Formal technical Engineering/Craft Apprenticeship to NVQ Level 3/TR23/TR21
- Formal further education certificate to HNC or equivalent in a relevant subject
- BEng in relevant Engineering or Science Degree
- Strong background in manufacturing and warehousing, with a preference for experience in supply chain goods receiving practices
- Understanding of MRP and just-in-time principles, preferably within a stores environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills, particularly the ability to influence teams outside of their direct reporting structure
- Possess expertise in lean manufacturing, 6 Sigma methodologies, and CI and Quality tools
- Adept at producing, maintaining, and interpreting data using a structured approach
- Proficient in system tools, techniques, and Minitab software
Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship
