About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Continuous Improvement Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at Guidant Global. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in optimizing our manufacturing processes, reducing waste, and enhancing productivity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process optimization and lean manufacturing initiatives
  • Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions to reduce defects and rework
  • Implement process controls and enhance process capability to meet customer requirements
  • Facilitate Problem Prevention System (PPS) for root cause analysis and provide technical expertise on lean tools and change management
Requirements
  • Formal technical Engineering/Craft Apprenticeship to NVQ Level 3/TR23/TR21
  • Formal further education certificate to HNC or equivalent in a relevant subject
  • BEng in relevant Engineering or Science Degree
Desirable Skills and Experience
  • Strong background in manufacturing and warehousing, with a preference for experience in supply chain goods receiving practices
  • Understanding of MRP and just-in-time principles, preferably within a stores environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, particularly the ability to influence teams outside of their direct reporting structure
  • Expertise in lean manufacturing, 6 Sigma methodologies, and CI and Quality tools
  • Adept at producing, maintaining, and interpreting data using a structured approach
  • Proficient in system tools, techniques, and Minitab software
What You'll Get to Do

As a Continuous Improvement Manufacturing Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including:

  • Setting up, supporting, and governing Continuous Improvement (CI) reviews
  • Facilitating and executing CI plans to implement corrective and preventive actions
  • Reducing defects within the stores area of the business using 8D/A3 methodology
  • Implementing process controls and enhancing process capability based on critical stores end logistics processes
Security Clearance

As a minimum, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by our clients Security Team.
