About the Role:



Responsibilities:

We are in search of a meticulous Software System Tester to join our newly established physical access control development team. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and performance of our systems through comprehensive testing and analysis. The ideal applicant will possess a solid grasp of software testing methodologies, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and a dedication to delivering superior software.

Key Duties:

Test Planning and Design

  • Collaborate with software developers and business analysts to comprehend project requirements and formulate detailed test plans and test cases.
  • Create, develop, and execute both manual and automated test scripts.

Testing and Validation

  • Execute various testing types, including functional, regression, integration, performance, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Identify, document, and monitor software defects and inconsistencies.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and work closely with developers to rectify issues.

Automation

  • Design and maintain automated test scripts utilizing tools such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, etc.
  • Continuously enhance test automation practices to improve efficiency and coverage.

Documentation and Reporting

  • Record test outcomes, generate detailed defect reports, and provide regular updates on testing progress.
  • Prepare thorough test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test scripts.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality software.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to offer insights and recommendations for enhancing software quality.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay informed about the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies in software testing.
  • Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of testing processes, tools, and methodologies.


Qualifications/Skills:

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

Experience

  • Proven experience as a Software Tester or in a comparable role.
  • Experience with both manual and automated testing.
  • Familiarity with testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, etc.).

Skills

  • Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Proficient in drafting clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
  • Knowledge of SQL and scripting is advantageous.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Exceptional communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Experience working with hardware connectivity to software.
  • IT Networking skills.

Mandatory Qualifications

  • Proficient in both French and English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with performance and/or security testing.
  • ISTQB certification or equivalent.

Work Hours:

  • 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM with a 30-minute lunch break)
  • Hybrid working model – one day of remote work per week.
