The Opportunity

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Residential Support Workers at Swanwick Lodge. This 'Outstanding' Ofsted-rated facility offers a safe haven for up to ten children facing complex challenges related to attachment, mental health, and behavior.

Your Role

As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a pivotal role in the lives of these children. You will act as a therapeutic parent, providing guidance, support, and positive role modeling. Your primary focus will be to foster a sense of security and belonging within our structured and stimulating home environment.

You will collaborate closely with our dedicated team of educators, healthcare professionals, and other specialists to ensure the holistic well-being of each child. This includes engaging in fun activities that cater to their interests and promoting their personal growth.

  • A genuine passion for working with children and a commitment to making a positive difference in their lives.
  • Exceptional emotional intelligence, resilience, and the ability to remain calm and supportive even in challenging situations.
  • Physical fitness to meet the demands of the role, including active engagement with the children.

Training and Development

While prior experience working with children in residential settings is beneficial, it is not essential. We provide comprehensive training programs to equip you with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in this role. Ongoing professional development opportunities are also available to support your growth and career advancement.

Shift Pattern

You will work a shift pattern that includes alternate weekends, early shifts, late shifts, and sleep-in duties. This flexible arrangement allows for a good work-life balance.
