Job Title: Mental Health Specialist

The Mental Health Specialist will work within the Enhanced Community Mental Health Team, providing specialist care to individuals with complex mental health needs. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning, and delivering interventions to promote mental well-being and independence.

Main Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and risk assessments as required, ensuring accurate and timely identification of individual needs.
  • Take the specialist lead role in the clinical management of individuals with dementia and complex mental health needs, providing expert guidance and support to colleagues.
  • Develop and implement effective interventions and treatments to address complex issues and serious illness, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care.
  • Administer and monitor medication to facilitate compliance and adherence to treatment, maintaining accurate records and reporting any concerns or issues.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to assess, develop, and maintain high standards of care for individuals with mental and physical health complexities, ensuring person-centered approaches and best practices.
