Geotechnical Engineer Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Geotechnical Engineer to join our team at CV Library. As a Geotechnical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing a career with one of the sector's most successful growing companies.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement geotechnical designs at the tender stage to meet client requirements.
  2. Collaborate with structural engineers to achieve cost-effective foundation solutions based on site-specific ground conditions.
  3. Assess site conditions, including ground contaminants and potential for heave.
  4. Prepare calculations, written reports, and check drawings.
  5. Advise on site investigation briefs to meet design requirements.
  6. Assist with appointing and conducting site investigations relevant to proposals.
  7. Visit sites as required.
  8. Support senior engineers.
Person Specification:
  1. Prefer 18 months of geotechnical design experience, but consider a recent graduate with a passion for geotechnics.
  2. Degree or higher in Geotechnics or a related field.
  3. Ability to work in a fast-paced subcontracting environment.
  4. Strong technical writing skills.
  5. Strong numerical modeling skills.
  6. Ability to demonstrate critical thinking skills.
  7. Passion for customer service.
  8. Excellent interpersonal skills.
  9. Team player.
  10. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to prioritize.
  11. Strong IT skills, especially in Excel.
  12. Confident communicator.
  13. Dynamic.
  14. Self-motivated with a desire for continuous learning and improvement.
  15. Full driving license (UK).
