Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement geotechnical designs for various projects, ensuring compliance with client requirements and industry standards.
  2. Collaborate with structural engineers to design and implement foundation solutions that meet site-specific ground conditions.
  3. Conduct site assessments to identify potential ground-related issues, such as contaminants or heave.
  4. Prepare detailed calculations, reports, and drawings to support design decisions.
  5. Develop site investigation briefs to meet design requirements and assist in the appointment and execution of site investigations.
  6. Visit sites as required to ensure projects are progressing according to plan.
  7. Support senior engineers in the development and implementation of geotechnical designs.
Person Specification:
  1. Minimum 18 months of geotechnical design experience, or a recent graduate with a passion for geotechnics.
  2. Degree or higher in Geotechnics or a related field.
  3. Ability to work in a fast-paced subcontracting environment.
  4. Strong technical writing and numerical modeling skills.
  5. Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  7. Team player with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  8. Proficient in IT, particularly Excel.
  9. Confident communicator with a dynamic and self-motivated approach.
  10. Full driving license (UK).
