Main Duties of the Job

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialist psychological assessment and therapy to individuals at risk of developing serious mental health difficulties. This will involve working with individuals who are experiencing first episode psychosis, as well as those who are at risk of developing psychosis.

The postholder will also be responsible for conducting high-quality risk assessments and risk management plans, as well as formulating and delivering formulation-driven interventions. Experience of working in a multidisciplinary team and applying cognitive behaviour therapy to a range of mental health difficulties is essential.

Person Specification

The successful candidate will possess a doctorate-level qualification in psychology, as well as experience of working in a mental health setting. A high level of knowledge about evidence-based psychological therapies, including cognitive behaviour therapy, is essential.

Experience of working with individuals who are at risk of developing psychosis, as well as those who are experiencing first episode psychosis, is also essential. The postholder will be required to work in a multidisciplinary team and to apply cognitive behaviour therapy to a range of mental health difficulties.
