About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Registered Nurse to join our Ophthalmology Department at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients attending eye appointments or procedures.

As a Registered Nurse in our Ophthalmology Department, you will have the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care, coordinate clinical activity, and develop pre-assessment and rapid access assessment skills.

You will be expected to demonstrate excellent communication and customer care skills, work well in a team environment, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of evidence-based practice guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality nursing care to patients attending eye appointments or procedures.
  • Coordinate clinical activity and develop pre-assessment and rapid access assessment skills.
  • Work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of evidence-based practice guidelines.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
Person Specification
  • Registered Nurse (RN1) with active NMC registration at the time of starting appointment.
  • Excellent communication and customer care skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of evidence-based practice guidelines.
