P&S Personnel is excited to announce an opportunity for a Chief Executive Officer to lead our client’s organization on a full-time, permanent basis.
The new Chief Executive will be responsible for fostering robust relationships with all stakeholders, including patrons, community leaders, funding partners, grant providers, business leaders, councillors, and the regional media.
This role involves working with individuals across a spectrum of disabilities, including physical, sensory, and cognitive challenges.
The Chief Executive will drive engagement initiatives to cultivate an environment where members, volunteers, and staff can showcase that it is Ability, not Disability, that truly matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop talents to empower all members of the organization to enhance their skills and abilities.
- Collaborate with the executive team to establish a solid business foundation for operations.
- Engage in strategic thinking and planning to evolve the role and implement its strategic vision.
- Exhibit leadership skills that motivate, challenge, and inspire the board of trustees and the executive team to foster a positive and inclusive community.
- Establish clear policies and practices, while monitoring and evaluating their effectiveness.
- Promote a culture of learning among staff, considering their capacity and desire for formal qualifications.
- Work alongside the executive team to oversee the financial activities of the organization and explore avenues for increasing core revenue through service diversification.
- Engage in bid writing for both revenue and capital funding.
- Conduct supervision and annual appraisals to support staff in their roles and responsibilities.
- Review the business plan to ensure it remains relevant and captures the ambitions and progress towards embracing diversity and dismantling barriers of discrimination.
- Enhance the organization’s value by continuously seeking ways to integrate with the wider community.
The ideal candidate may come from various sectors, including business, charitable organizations, local authorities, or health-related fields.
Essential Qualifications:
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Proven leadership and management capabilities.
- Ability to build and nurture relationships with individuals with diverse disabilities, their family carers, volunteers, and the broader community, showcasing emotional intelligence and integrity.
- Understanding of the legislative requirements for operating a Community Transport Service.
- Experience in change management strategies to support the organization in adapting to change.
- Proven track record of raising standards with measurable outcomes and a solid understanding of comparative data.
- Awareness of the challenges faced by individuals with disabilities.
- Strong team management, financial acumen, and effective communication skills.
- Accountability to uphold commitments and hold others accountable.
- Strong planning skills to prioritize work effectively.
