Location: Yeovil

Salary: GBP38,376.94 per annum (with potential for additional overtime)

Overtime Rates:

  • Weekdays: GBP24.85 per hour
  • Weekends: GBP33.14 per hour

Benefits: Company vehicle, pension scheme, BUPA (single coverage), 33 days of annual leave (including public holidays)

We are seeking a Qualified Electrical Technician to join our client, a leading integrated facilities management company.

Role Overview:

This pivotal role involves executing both scheduled and reactive electrical maintenance across various locations. The technician will be responsible for performing technical repairs and minor planned preventative maintenance (PPM). It is essential to maintain accurate compliance documentation and ensure all tasks are completed to the highest standards while adhering to the company's health and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule within set timelines and ensure all necessary documentation is completed.
  • Respond efficiently to service requests from the Helpdesk, assessing job requirements and performing repairs as needed.
  • Conduct tests and repairs on emergency lighting systems.
  • Identify non-repairable faults in equipment and promptly report findings to management.
  • Ensure compliance documentation is consistently updated.
  • Inform on-site management of any maintenance issues that may disrupt operations.
  • Conduct surveys and prepare reports as required.
  • Adhere to the company's health and safety policies at all times.
  • Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation (1 week in every 4).

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification.
  • Experience with 3 Phase Electrics and its applications.
  • Ability to meet PPM schedules within agreed timelines.
  • Capability to respond to service calls within set timeframes.
  • A valid driving license and access to a personal vehicle are mandatory.
