CERAP UK is a leading nuclear engineering company, and we're seeking a highly skilled Air Conditioning Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our team, you'll play a crucial role in supporting the UK's nuclear renaissance by providing expertise in HVAC design, installation, and testing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Anticipate operational constraints and develop effective HVAC design solutions.
  • Address mechanical issues related to installation and ensure compliance with technical and safety requirements.
  • Develop and implement a practical vision for HVAC review and testing, including the creation of a database.
  • Assist with other construction scope activities as necessary.
  • Develop knowledge on EPR erection activities and provide feedback for future projects.
  • Optimize HVAC activity preparation, ensuring compliance with technical and safety requirements, reliability, and reduction of open points.
  • Review surveillance plans according to policy and project documentation.
  • Manage installation supervision and ensure compliance with UK regulations.
  • Monitor progress on technical documentation approval status and prioritize work accordingly.
  • Engage with stakeholders to support activity delivery and ensure compliance with UK regulations.
  • Ensure project policies, processes, and contracts are implemented and delivered to the right quality.
  • Coordinate and support the conformity assessment process.
  • Provide periodic progress reports.
  • Develop strong working relationships with regulators and the supply chain.
  • Advise projects and programmes on technical requirements and act as the technical decision maker.

Requirements:

  • A degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • A background in preparation and realization of HVAC activities tests.
  • A strong technical interest in the construction or maintenance of industrial installations.
  • Proficiency in computer tools, including data manipulation in Excel, CAD environments, and 3D modeling/viewing.

Experience:

  • At least 5 years of experience in equivalent missions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work autonomously.
  • Ability to translate field operational experience and integrate OPEX.
  • Experience in nuclear is an advantage.

Language Requirements:

  • Fluent English is required for writing technical documents and daily exchanges.
  • French skills would be an advantage.
