About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Specialist Doctor to join our team at South Petherton Community Hospital. As a Specialist Ward Doctor, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of stroke and community practice.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in older persons care and experience working in a multidisciplinary team. You will be responsible for providing assessments and advice on medical treatment, liaising with various professions and disciplines, and contributing to the maintenance and evaluation of service-specific performance indicators.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide medical assessments and advice on treatment for patients
  • Liaise with various professions and disciplines to ensure seamless patient care

  • Maintain and evaluate service-specific performance indicators
Requirements
  • MB BS or equivalent medical qualification
  • Accredited for the training of junior doctors
  • Experience of working in older persons care
  • 3 years supervised training in an appropriate ST1-3 or equivalent training/experience programme
