Assembly and Stores Support Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Assembly and Stores Support Specialist to join our team at Omega Resource Group. As a key member of our manufacturing operations team, you will play a critical role in supporting the assembly and stores area of our manufacturing plant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide logistical support for components, assemblies, and waste across the site
  • Clean and prepare components for assembly
  • Conduct visual inspections of parts to identify damage or errors
  • Manage component and consumable stock levels in the assembly area
  • Prepare completed assemblies for paint and ensure they meet quality standards
  • Collate components, preserve, and pack completed assemblies
  • Assemble components in line with technical drawings and specifications
  • Identify and pick parts from the Kanban system
  • Maintain a high level of 5S throughout the assembly environments
  • Perform TPM and maintenance checks

Requirements:

  • Counterbalance forklift license
  • Driving license
  • Strong team-working ethic and ability to adapt to changing priorities
  • Strong multi-tasking abilities
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Willingness to learn new skills and be part of a multidiscipline team
  • High attention to detail
  • 5S mindset and ability to maintain hand tools and working environment to a high standard
  • Familiarity with IT basics, Microsoft Office, and operating systems
  • Ability to obtain UK Security Clearance
