Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and prepare components for assembly, adhering to technical specifications.
- Perform assembly tasks with precision and attention to detail.
- Engage in rework and fitting of components, ensuring accuracy and adherence to standards.
- Utilize precision measurement tools and mathematical formulas to calculate shim sizes for accurate assembly.
- Maintain full traceability of components through diligent paperwork and digital documentation management.
- Operate and record results from automated test rigs, contributing to the quality assurance process.
- Collate components for final packing, ensuring the preservation and readiness of completed assemblies.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a precision assembly or mechanical fitting environment.
- Strong multi-tasking abilities and the capability to work independently, managing time effectively.
- A high level of attention to detail and conscientiousness.
- Comfortable with IT basics, including Microsoft Office, and basic mathematical equations.
- Desirable: Experience with transmission assembly, repair, or overhaul.
Benefits:
- Competitive hourly rate of £15.41, plus 1.3 shift allowance.
- 37-hour working week, with a double day shift pattern.
