Jonathan Lee Recruitment Ltd is seeking a meticulous and driven Assembly Operative to join their dedicated team in Bath. This is a stellar opportunity to advance your career and contribute to the company's mission to design, develop, and manufacture cutting-edge solutions for the defence sector.
Key Responsibilities:- Clean components prior to assembly and perform assembly in line with technical specifications.
- Engage in rework and fitting of components, ensuring precision and adherence to standards.
- Utilise precision measurement tools and calculate shim sizes using mathematical formulas for accurate assembly.
- Maintain full traceability of components with diligent paperwork and digital documentation management.
- Operate and record results from automated test rigs, contributing to the quality assurance process.
- Collate components for final packing, ensuring the preservation and readiness of completed assemblies.
- Proven experience in a precision assembly or mechanical fitting environment.
- Strong multi-tasking abilities and the capability to work independently, managing time effectively.
- A high level of attention to detail and conscientiousness.
- Comfortable with IT basics, including Microsoft Office, and basic mathematical equations.
- Desirable: Experience with transmission assembly, repair, or overhaul.
- 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
