Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Planner to join our team at Northrop Grumman Sperry Marine. As a key member of our supply chain operations, you will be responsible for ensuring that our products are always in the right place at the right time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supply Chain Planning: Collaborate with our manufacturers to manage the scheduling, production, and delivery of all required stock, on time and in full.
- Supplier Performance Management: Monitor supplier performance and identify any performance issues to rapidly improve.
- Supplier Collaboration: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and quality products.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify end-to-end opportunities to drive change through our supply chain.
- KPI Management: Manage the supply chain activities to achieve success in all key performance indicators, including customer and supplier on-time-in-full (OTIF), product availability, inventory health, stock write-off, and data accuracy.
- Risk Management: Deploy strategies to mitigate supply chain risks and ensure business continuity.
- Relationships: Collaborate with all departments across the business, especially warehouse operations, to ensure inbound deliveries are scheduled and reverse logistics activity is managed and coordinated efficiently and to budget.
About You:
- Proven experience within supply, purchasing, or demand planning.
- Experience dealing with manufacturers and working to deadlines.
- Experience using an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems.
- High energy, willingness to learn, and the desire to get stuck in.
- Team-focused with a can-do attitude and a positive, growth mindset.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
- Enjoy a fast-paced business with a 'start-up' mentality and approach.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and execute a plan.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Self-motivated, persistent, and with a can-do attitude.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Comfortable working with data and manipulating it to explain the current position and next steps.
