About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team at Hydro International Limited. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for the management of long- and medium-term contracts, ensuring timely completion and budget adherence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize a consultative approach to offer engineering solutions, leading to excellent customer satisfaction.
  • Plan and schedule work content through various stages of design, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and take-over.
  • Control and monitor financial budgets, maintaining or improving profit margins.
  • Take corrective action to maintain time for completion and recover over-expenditure.
  • Interface directly with clients and the company on all matters influencing contractual obligations.
  • Prepare requisitions and issue purchase orders within financial authority levels.
  • Agree variations, claims, and extensions of time with clients in line with contract conditions.
  • Raise invoices and applications for payment.
  • Agree final accounts and secure certification necessary under the contract.
  • Prepare documentation and O&M manuals called for under the scope of works.
  • Work closely with installation and commissioning personnel to ensure adequate resource allocation.
  • Attend regular client meetings and site visits.
  • Maintain a high level of respect from clients in terms of professional project management and integrity.
  • Exercise powers of the company and its obligations in respect of current CDM Regulations.
  • Act as the central coordinating function of the company team appointed to execute the contract.
  • Be proactive in ensuring the company's engineering function is fully conversant with applicable specifications.
  • Ensure timely arrangement for all commercial facets of the contract.
  • Prepare and negotiate sub-contracts for key elements of the contract.
  • Support members of the project team in the delivery of projects and tasks.
  • Perform duties in accordance with relevant legislation, particularly the Health and Safety at Work Act and apply requirements of ISO 45001.
  • Apply requirements of BS EN ISO 9001 and 14001 as appropriate within areas of responsibility.
