Position Overview

As a Band 3 Surgical Support Specialist, you will be part of a dedicated team within a leading cancer treatment and research institution. This full-time role encompasses 37.5 hours per week, focusing on delivering exceptional care in surgical settings.

About Us

The Christie NHS Foundation Trust is recognized for its commitment to patient care and staff development. Our facilities include seven main operating theatres, featuring advanced technologies such as Da Vinci Robotic systems and specialized laparoscopic equipment.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide compassionate care to surgical patients, ensuring their comfort and safety during procedures.
- Assist in patient positioning and the preparation of surgical instruments and materials.
- Collaborate with the theatre transfer team to facilitate patient movement to and from wards.
- Uphold stringent infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Engage in continuous professional development, including the completion of the Christie Care Certificate.
