We are seeking a Head of Marketing Strategy & Communication to become a vital part of our team at Thomas Franks.

Role Objective:

This position is accountable for crafting, leading, and executing the marketing and communications strategy for Thomas Franks, overseeing the marketing team, and playing a key role in business planning to fulfill the company's vision. The role involves fostering and promoting the highest standards of marketing, communication, and innovation for Thomas Franks and on behalf of our clients. Additionally, it focuses on business growth and expansion by supporting the Business Development function.

Strategic Development

  • To design, implement, and manage the marketing and communications strategy, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of plans and activities.
  • To create and execute digital communication strategies in an innovative and creative manner, ensuring the successful implementation and ongoing enhancement of the company's marketing platforms.
  • Develop a comprehensive marketing plan that maximizes our social media presence aligned with the core values of Thomas Franks.

Communication Initiatives

  • Design and execute innovative marketing campaigns that align with business objectives.
  • Create and produce a variety of marketing materials to support our clients and prospective clients, including initial communications and digital documents throughout the client engagement. Enhance revenue and repeat business by optimizing customer experiences through effective signage and product placement.
  • Engage with clients, customers, and potential customers, providing professional marketing services that reflect market trends and ensure all marketing materials are current, creative, and of high quality. Utilize digital platforms for information services, business development tools, and create business-focused digital content to enhance engagement and brand recognition both domestically and internationally.
  • Collaborate closely with the IT Manager and Creative Director to explore opportunities for enhancing communication and marketing in our educational locations. Develop a forward-thinking repository of marketing content accessible to all, including an annual parent brochure with company updates.
  • Foster employee engagement and retention through effective communication utilizing a variety of innovative media.
  • Identify and cultivate public relations opportunities within the hospitality sector.

Business Development Support

  • Plan, execute, and manage marketing and lead generation campaigns, measuring outcomes in collaboration with the Business Development Director and Creative Director.
  • Maintain a consistent corporate image and ensure effective brand communication in partnership with the Creative Director across all media channels.

Customer-Centric Approach

  • Prioritize the customer experience at every interaction, particularly focusing on Business & Industry (B&I) and developing upselling opportunities through targeted marketing campaigns.
  • Collaborate with partners to fully understand their systems and marketing opportunities.

Team Leadership

  • Lead, manage, and provide direction to the marketing and communications team. Oversee staff training and performance evaluations to support and develop the team, creating a comprehensive and leading marketing function.

Financial Management

  • Plan, implement, and oversee marketing budgets.
  • Manage and supervise external partners to ensure they meet agreed-upon frameworks and hold them accountable for delivery within established parameters, including timelines and financials.

Community Engagement

  • Support the company's charitable, environmental, and social initiatives alongside the Director of Charity, the sustainability team, and The Thomas Franks Foundation.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Essential Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement marketing strategies and plans that align with business objectives across various functions, utilizing statistical data and business efficiencies to showcase effective strategy.
  • Degree-level education or equivalent experience in marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to multitask and delegate effectively.
  • A proactive individual committed to continuous professional development for themselves and their team, engaging with new digital technologies to enhance the marketing function.
  • Proficient in website management and B2B/B2C marketing, with experience in service marketing in a digital context.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint as a digital communication tool and the ability to utilize it as an intranet for both domestic and international operations.
  • Knowledge and practical experience with HubSpot as a marketing tool to support business development and integrate into marketing strategies.
  • A portfolio of digital marketing activities demonstrating a return on investment linked to marketing strategies.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of marketing best practices and a keen eye for creative event marketing opportunities.
