Vehicle Technician Opportunity in Basingstoke

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Vehicle Technician to join our busy main dealership in Basingstoke. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Vehicle Technician to take the next steps in their career or for a vehicle technician with a fast-fit background to transition into a main dealership environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair a variety of light commercial vehicles, ensuring high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections, to maintain vehicle health and extend lifespan.
  • Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve complex issues, ensuring efficient and accurate repairs.
  • Maintain accurate records of all work performed and parts used, adhering to industry standards and company policies.
  • Communicate effectively with customers about vehicle issues and repair recommendations, providing clear and concise information.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring a safe and productive environment.
Requirements:
  • Level 3 NVQ in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, demonstrating a strong foundation in automotive repair and maintenance.
  • At least 2 years' experience as a Vehicle Technician, showcasing a proven track record of success and expertise.
  • Strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills, enabling effective diagnosis and repair of complex issues.
  • Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure, meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results.
  • Excellent attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and precision in all aspects of work.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, facilitating effective collaboration with colleagues and customers.
  • Full UK driving license, enabling flexibility and mobility in the role.
