### Role Overview

We are seeking a qualified Moderator to join our team for the BTEC Tech Awards in Sport. As a Moderator, you will be responsible for ensuring that centres' assessment of candidates' work meets the agreed assessment criteria and our procedures.

### Key Responsibilities

* Attend standardisation meetings to ensure you are familiar with the assessment criteria and procedures.
* Moderate centres' assessment of candidates' work in accordance with the agreed assessment criteria and our procedures.
* Send any centre requests for special consideration to Pearson and any other JCQ documentation from centres to Pearson.
* Maintain regular contact with your Team Leader as appropriate, raising issues as they arise.
* Ensure all Moderator marks and E9 Moderator reports are submitted on the system by specified deadlines.
* Keep all records relating to your moderator role for one year after the examination series.

### Experience and Qualifications

* You will have one academic year's worth of teaching experience within the last 8 years, within the relevant subject, and since qualifying as a teacher.
* You will have a degree or equivalent.
* You will be a qualified teacher.
