About the Role

We are seeking a qualified Moderator to join our team in the Animal Care area for the BTEC Tech Awards. As a Moderator, you will be responsible for ensuring that centres' assessment of candidates' work meets the agreed assessment criteria and our procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Attend standardisation meetings to ensure consistency in moderation.
  • Moderate centres' assessment of candidates' work in accordance with the agreed assessment criteria and our procedures.
  • Send centre requests for special consideration to Pearson and forward any other JCQ documentation.
  • Maintain regular contact with your Team Leader, raising issues as they arise.
  • Submit all Moderator marks and E9 Moderator reports on the system by specified deadlines.
  • Retain records relating to your moderator role for one year after the examination series.
Requirements

You will have one academic year's worth of teaching experience within the last 8 years, within the relevant subject, and since qualifying as a teacher. You will also have a degree or equivalent and be a qualified teacher.
