**Job Title:** Social Worker - Children's Services

**Job Type:** Temporary, Locum

**Location:** Flexible, Nationwide

**About the Role:**

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Social Worker to join our team at SW Locums. As a Social Worker for Children and Families, you will be responsible for providing a high-quality social work service to children and families, ensuring their views are heard and their needs are met.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Provide a social work service to children and families, including assessment, planning, and intervention.
  • Work closely with other agencies and professionals to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the child's needs and circumstances.
  • Develop and implement plans to address the child's needs, in collaboration with the child, their family, and other relevant professionals.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and gather information to inform decision-making.
  • Work with the child and their family to identify and address any risks or concerns.
  • Provide support and guidance to the child and their family to help them access services and resources.

**Requirements:**

  • Qualified Social Worker with a degree in Social Work or a related field.
  • Experience working with children and families, particularly in a safeguarding context.
  • Strong assessment and planning skills, with the ability to work effectively with children and families.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with other professionals.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies, including the Care Act and the Children Act.
