About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Operations Manager to join our team at Dial A Geek | B Corp™. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire finance function of the business, ensuring accurate and timely financial management.

This is a part-time (approximately 15 hours per week) role that requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You will report directly to the Managing Director and collaborate closely with our Technical Director and Project Team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Management: Process monthly recurring and ad-hoc invoicing in Autotask & Xero, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Bank Reconciliations: Perform daily bank reconciliations to maintain financial integrity.
  • Supplier Invoicing: Reconcile consolidated supplier invoices to ensure accurate financial records.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and present month-end financial reports and analysis to the team.
  • Financial Presentations: Present the company's finances to the team on a quarterly basis.
  • Profitability Monitoring: Continuously monitor and analyze profitability to inform business decisions.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial efficiency.
  • Cash Flow Management: Develop and manage cash flow forecasts to ensure financial stability.
  • Annual Budgeting: Prepare and implement annual budgets to align with business objectives.
  • Payroll and VAT: Collaborate with our accountants to prepare payroll and VAT returns.
  • Credit Control: Manage credit control processes to ensure timely payment from clients.
About You:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Financial Operations Manager who possesses a strong finance background within a technology company. You will be proactive, self-sufficient, and forward-thinking, with high levels of organization and personal motivation.

Key skills and qualifications include:

  • Strong finance background: 5+ years of experience in finance, preferably within a technology company.
  • Technical skills: Good working knowledge of Xero and Microsoft Teams.
  • Communication skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with the team.
  • Organizational skills: Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work autonomously.
  • Problem-solving skills: Ability to identify and troubleshoot financial issues.
