Industrial Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer to join our team at Textron Specialized Vehicles. As an Industrial Engineer, you will play a key role in implementing enhancements across all operational areas to elevate product quality and boost manufacturing efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze manufacturing systems and processes to identify areas for improvement and present data-driven insights to drive decision-making.
- Lead project management efforts, including reporting to senior leaders on assignment progress, challenges, ROI, and next steps.
- Utilize data analytics software to evaluate production and TAKT performance.
- Gather data manually or via implementation of a measuring system, such as time studies, data mining, or SAP/Oracle.
- Apply lean principles, such as waste identification and elimination, theory of constraints, and 1-piece flow, to evaluate and implement opportunities for improvement.
- Develop assigned projects to meet strategic business objectives, including developing KPIs, measurement system needs, resource requirements, and expected outcomes.
- Implement business strategic initiatives in a sustainable manner by working with cross-functional teams and communicating with key stakeholders.
- Evaluate physical workstations and layouts for ergonomic improvements, waste, repeatability, visual management, and operator satisfaction.
- Implement recommended material storage and presentation methods to the assembly line.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent required, Industrial Engineering preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience required.
- Software knowledge including statistical analysis tools (Excel, MiniTab, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- CAD (Siemens NX)/SAP/Oracle, Team Centre, and Power BI experience preferred.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Techniques and Six Sigma.
- Strong problem-solving skills and knowledge of PFMEA, SPC, and Quality Control Techniques.
- Ability to work with staff at differing levels.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to assess and upgrade procedures and systems.
- Versatile and a self-starter able to work with minimal supervision.
