CBW Staffing Solutions is seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Shift Engineer to join our client's team in West London. This role offers the opportunity to work within a critical data centre environment, ensuring the smooth operation of essential infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on all client assets, adhering to established procedures and documentation.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive records related to health & safety, building compliance, and quality assurance.
  • Oversee the performance of subcontractors, ensuring they meet contract requirements and operate safely during site work.
  • Swiftly address plant faults and defects to maintain operational readiness at all times.
  • Ensure adequate spare parts inventory for efficient maintenance execution.
  • Complete detailed maintenance records in the form of job sheets.
  • Prepare and utilize method statements and risk assessments for all tasks (PPMs and reactive) to ensure safe working practices.
  • Lead and manage the shift team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with clients, ensuring their satisfaction and addressing any concerns promptly.
  • Assign and oversee tasks effectively, utilizing the shift engineers' expertise for successful completion.
  • Conduct annual performance appraisals for shift engineers, providing feedback and guidance for professional development.
  • Develop and implement training plans to ensure the shift team possesses the necessary skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

  • Electrical qualification (City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent)
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification
  • Experience in building maintenance, with a focus on electrical systems
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Multi-skilled capabilities (mechanical and electrical) are advantageous
  • Knowledge of UPS, generators, power distribution, HVAC, and HV/LV systems
  • Proven leadership and management abilities
