The Opportunity:
Are you a skilled Shift Engineer looking for an exciting opportunity in a state-of-the-art data centre? We have a fantastic role available at our facility in Stockley Park. Join our team and play a crucial part in maintaining the critical infrastructure that powers our data operations.
Responsibilities:
As a Shift Engineer, your responsibilities will include the following:
* Monitoring and maintaining data centre infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
* Conducting regular inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems.
* Responding to and resolving technical issues and emergencies in a timely manner.
* Performing routine tests and checks to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
* Collaborating with other engineers and technical staff to support data centre operations.
* Keeping accurate records of maintenance activities, incidents, and system performance.
* Ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations and industry best practices.
Skills and Qualifications:
We are looking for a Shift Engineer who has the following skills and qualifications:
* Proven experience in a similar role within a data centre or critical environment.
* Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems.
* Relevant qualifications such as City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
* Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
* Flexibility to work in a shift pattern, including nights and weekends.
* Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and operational excellence.
* Must have data centre experience.
