About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Day Operations Engineer to join our team at Nexus Careers Group Ltd. As a Day Operations Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining critical systems, ensuring operational efficiency, and delivering high-quality service in a dynamic data centre environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems, including AHU, FCU, and cooling towers.
- Ensure all equipment is operating efficiently and in compliance with safety standards.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues to minimize downtime.
- Support planned maintenance schedules and execute corrective actions as needed.
- Collaborate with other engineers and departments to maintain seamless operations.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and system performance.
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines and industry regulations.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar engineering role within a critical or high-performance environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems.
- Relevant qualifications, such as City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to maintenance.
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and operational excellence.
