About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Plastipak Packaging, Inc. as a key contributor to the success of our recycling facility in Dundee, MI.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive Process Optimization: Continuously improve safety, quality, efficiency, and reliability across our flagship operation in Michigan, while decreasing costs.
  • Review Production Reports: Identify opportunities to reduce downtime, improve performance, create work instructions, and troubleshooting documents to enhance workforce productivity.
  • Analyze Data and Assess Opportunities: Gather information from maintenance staff and operators to drive improvements, and review parts used in the process to ensure optimal performance for cost, availability, and access.
  • Coordinate Preventive Maintenance: Schedule and participate in preventive maintenance for assigned processes, and oversee solution design, planning, implementation, and follow-up to ensure expected results.
  • Participate in Equipment Installations and Facility Improvements: Assist in maintenance-related projects in a hands-on approach, and participate in equipment installations and facility improvements, including business expansions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in a Related Engineering Field: Manufacturing or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1 Year of Experience: Inclusive of internship/co-op experiences.
  • Working Knowledge of Process Improvements and Troubleshooting: In a manufacturing environment.
  • Microsoft Office Experience: Good knowledge of Excel to create tables, trend graphs, and worksheets.
  • Mechanical Aptitude: Strong understanding of mechanical systems and processes.
Shift and Pay
  • Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm
  • $70,000+/Year (DOE)
