Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Manager to lead our engineering team and drive the efficient operation and maintenance of our manufacturing equipment and facilities. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in driving continuous improvement initiatives, CAPEX projects, and optimizing processes to ensure the highest standards of safety and reliability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead and develop a team of engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and efficiency improvements. Implement best practices and innovative solutions.
    • Develop contingency plans and train staff accordingly.
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive preventive and predictive maintenance program to maximize equipment uptime and extend asset life.
  • Supervision and Management:
    • Oversee engineering projects from concept to completion on time and within budget.
    • Report on KPIs.
    • Collaborate with external vendors and contractors to secure necessary products and services.
    • Manage supplier relationships.
    • Manage any equipment failures or breakdowns, ensuring minimal disruption to production.
    • Participate in on-call/standby rota outside of normal working hours to support 24-hour production.
  • Safety and Compliance:
    • Ensure all maintenance and engineering activities comply with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
    • Promote a safe working environment and a zero-accidents culture.
    Requirements
    • Qualifications:
      • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrument Control, and Process Engineering) or equivalent.
    • Experience:
      • Minimum 4 years of experience in a similar business/manufacturing environment.
      • Significant experience of working with SAP and project management tools.
    • Skills:
      • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
      • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
      • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
