  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a high-quality access to information governance service, ensuring compliance with Freedom of Information, Environmental Information Regulations, Subject Access Requests, Re-use of Public Sector Information, Inspire Regulations, and Data Protection enquiries.
  • Carry out the necessary functions for the Data Protection Officer, ensuring the obligations of the Data Protection Regulations are upheld and that data is handled within the confines of the law.
  • Assist and advise other departments on information management and data protection, including carrying out internal reviews, dealing with ICO complaints, data protection impact assessments, and training.
  • Support and manage a team of Information Governance Officers.

Requirements:

  • A background in public sector information governance at a senior level is essential.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Proven experience in information governance, data protection, and compliance.
