Night Porter

We are seeking a reliable and proactive individual to join our Front of House Team as a Night Porter at Dakota Edinburgh.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic and growing hospitality brand, with a focus on delivering exceptional guest service and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and maintenance.

• Set up and prepare our meetings and events spaces for conferences and private dinners, ensuring a clean and welcoming environment for guests.
• Carry out deep cleaning tasks, including vacuum cleaning, dusting, and polishing, to maintain the public areas of the hotel.
• Work closely with other departments, particularly Reception, to ensure excellent communication and assist with tasks as required.
• Be assigned the role of Fire Warden in the event of an emergency evacuation and be trained as a fire evacuation chair user to assist guests.
• Follow health and safety procedures closely, particularly regarding waste handling and manual handling.
• Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of safe chemical handling guidelines and best practices for maintaining the hotel's public and back-of-house areas.

• A minimum of one year's working experience in a cleaning or labouring role is strongly preferred.
• Someone who likes to work alone.
• A reliable and dependable individual.
• Previous experience working night shifts is strongly preferred.
