Health Care Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Health Care Assistant to join our team at Church Street Medical. As a Health Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our trained nursing staff.
Key Responsibilities:- Carry out assigned tasks involving direct patient care, including taking blood pressure, recording height and weight, and undertaking health check screenings.
- Assist qualified nurses in organizing clinic appointments, sending patient letters, and accurately recording information.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean and safe environment, including keeping nurses' rooms stocked and tidy, and assisting with monitoring stock levels.
- Communicate effectively with patients, relatives, and colleagues, considering differences in language, literacy, and culture.
- Support the equality, diversity, and rights of patients, carers, and colleagues, and promote a welcoming and inclusive environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to carry out designated tasks with minimal supervision.
- Confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive patient information.
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn new systems.
- Desirable: experience of working in primary care and holding a certificate in Phlebotomy.
