Breast Surgeon

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Breast Surgeon to join our team at the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients with breast cancer and other breast-related conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Consultant Breast services, including outpatient clinics and theatre lists, to support the symptomatic, screening, and reconstruction Breast Service in Leicester.
- Participate in the Breast Cancer Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) and contribute to the development of treatment plans for patients with breast cancer.
- Supervise and teach undergraduate and postgraduate trainees, as well as healthcare workers, who rotate through the department.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical guidelines and protocols for the management of breast cancer and other breast-related conditions.
- Participate in clinical audit and quality improvement initiatives to ensure the delivery of high-quality care to patients.
We are looking for a Consultant Breast Surgeon who possesses the following skills and qualities:
- Enthusiasm and ability to inspire and lead others.
- Excellent clinical skills and experience in breast and reconstructive surgery.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and supervise juniors.
- Ability to effectively organise, prioritise, and manage clinical workload.
- Commitment to clinical audit and quality improvement.
