About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Clinical Pharmacist to join our team at East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will play a vital role in providing safe and effective patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the multi-disciplinary team to provide a safe and efficient service to patients.
  • Participate in audits of prescribing practice and drug usage, and contribute to the development of our service and the Trust's Medicines Optimisation Strategy.
  • Undertake daily clinical ward visits to specialist areas to provide patient counselling and improve adherence to treatment.
  • Be involved in incident reporting as part of clinical governance.
  • Take part in the out-of-hours and 7-day pharmacy service to further develop your clinical knowledge, organisation, and decision-making capabilities.

Person Specification
  • Fully registered member of the GPhC or will be fully registered member of the GPhC in Summer 2024.
  • Master's degree plus Pre-registration training (or equivalent).
  • Previous pharmacy experience.
  • Hospital pharmacy experience (desirable).
  • Clinical Knowledge.
  • Computer Literate.
  • Medicines Management initiatives.
