Opportunity: Associate Director - Project & Programme Management

We are seeking an enthusiastic and ambitious Associate Director to join our expanding project and programme management team in Leeds. This role offers the chance to contribute to our growth while developing your leadership skills and delivering exceptional client service.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage consultant teams on behalf of clients, overseeing a range of construction projects.
  • Develop and mentor the Leeds PM team, supporting our local and regional growth objectives.
  • Create project plans, monitor performance against targets, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Implement and manage project control systems in accordance with Currie & Brown's business management system, ensuring adherence to national quality standards.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring user requirements are captured and approvals are obtained to meet project deadlines while understanding regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee end-to-end project execution, defining clear goals, roles, and deliverables for successful completion.
  • Ensure seamless integration of design, development, construction, commissioning, and process requirements through collaboration with subject matter experts within the team.
  • Manage the change control process using pre-agreed client processes, leading to a smooth handover and project completion.
  • Provide comprehensive reporting on project costs, schedules, health & safety, and performance using project controls and reporting tools.
Your Qualifications:
  • A degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent academic achievement.
  • Professional qualifications (membership of an appropriate institution), including incorporated or chartered status with a relevant professional body.
  • Proven experience as a project manager on new-build, fit-out, and/or refurbishment projects, with a focus on commercial development encompassing mixed-use developments, including retail, infrastructure, residential (including student accommodation), commercial, industrial, and healthcare sectors.
  • Experience working across all stages of the project delivery lifecycle.
  • Expertise in managing capital/revenue projects with a thorough understanding of project management processes and methodologies, particularly APM.
  • Ability to work independently as a consultant, capable of running projects with minimal support from senior colleagues.
  • Experience undertaking the contract administrator role using JCT or the project manager role under the NEC form.
