Position Overview

Swift Temps Ltd is looking to enhance its engineering team by hiring a Maintenance Technician. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of our production facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Repair and Maintenance: Execute repairs on various plant machinery, including de-coilers, presses, and slitters during unexpected breakdowns.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Conduct regular maintenance checks to minimize machinery failures and maintain optimal production levels.
  • Documentation: Complete detailed work reports and maintain an accurate maintenance log book.
Required Skills and Experience
  • Proven experience in a maintenance role within a heavy manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with operating and maintaining slitters, presses, and de-coiling machines is preferred.
  • Strong mechanical or electrical skills are essential.
  • A relevant qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering (such as NVQ or equivalent) is required.
  • Basic knowledge of welding techniques is a plus, though not mandatory.
  • Flexibility to work in a 3-shift rotation and adapt to varying working hours is necessary.
